RECOMMENDATION(S):
Recommendation
That the Board of Supervisors:
1. Receive and file the bid proposal submitted for the Americans with Disabilities Act Curb Ramp Improvements Project (Phase 3);
2. Award the attached project agreement to GR Sundberg, Inc., for the total amount of $1,436,631;
3. Authorize the Chair of the Board to execute the attached project agreement with GR Sundberg, Inc., upon submittal of the appropriate bonds and insurance; and
4. Authorize the Public Works Director to execute contract change orders up to the amount of $84,331.

DISCUSSION:
On May 2, 2023, the Board of Supervisors authorized the Clerk of the Board to advertise the Americans with Disabilities Act Curb Ramp Improvements Project (Phase 3) for bids. On June 6, 2023, the County of Humboldt received one (1) bid for the project, which is attached hereto as Attachment 1.

The Department of Public Works recommends that the Board of Supervisors receive and file the bid proposal submitted for the Americans with Disabilities Act Curb Ramp Improvements Project (Phase 3); award the attached project agreement to GR Sundberg, Inc., for the total amount of $1,436,631; authorize the Chair of the Board to execute the attached project agreement with GR Sundberg, Inc., upon submittal of the appropriate bonds and insurance; and authorize the Public Works Director to execute contract change orders up to the amount of $84,331.
