RECOMMENDATION(S):
Recommendation
That the Board of Supervisors:
1. Adopt the attached resolution which authorizes the Humboldt County Department of Health and Human Services Director, or a designee thereof, to accept funding made available through the California Department of Housing and Community Development's Transitional Housing Program in the amount of $219,780 and Housing Navigation and Maintenance program in the amount of $110,545; and
2. Direct the Clerk of the Board to return one (1) fully executed certified copy of the attached resolution to the Department of Health and Human Services - Contract Unit for submission to the California Department of Housing and Community Development.

DISCUSSION:
On October 24, 2023, the California Department of Housing and Community Development ("HCD") issued Allocation Acceptance Forms under the Transitional Housing Program ("THP"), as authorized by Sections 50807, et seq. of the California Health and Safety Code, and the Housing Navigation and Maintenance Program ("HNMP"), as authorized by Sections 508011, et seq. of the California Health and Safety Code.
On November 15, 2023, the Humboldt County Department of Health and Human Services ("DHHS") submitted applications for THP and HNMP funding to HCD in accordance with the requirements of the Allocation Acceptance Forms dated October 24, 2023.
