Recommendation
That the Board of Supervisors:
1. Continue to engage in the strategic planning process for the purpose of crafting effective relationships and long-term county planning.

DISCUSSION:
The Board will continue the strategic planning process that began on March 3, and March 23, 2023, using an outside facilitator (Robert Bendorf, from Municipal Resources Group, LLC) for the purpose of crafting effective relationships and long-term county planning.
FINANCIAL IMPACT:
Approximately $30,000 has been obligated for the strategic planning session, not including staff time from county departments. Costs include a contract for Bendorf’s services via Municipal Resources Group, hotel stays for county officials and staff, set up costs at Benbow Inn, catering and meals, and other expenses associated with the strategic planning session.
All expenses are included in the approved budget for County Administrative Office - Management & Budget Team (1100-103). There is no request for additional General Fund appropriation.
