RECOMMENDATION(S):
Recommendation
That the Board of Supervisors:
1. Approve, and authorize the Chair of the Board to execute, the attached Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with LMT & Associates, Inc., regarding payment associated with the provision of consultation and technical assistance services.
2. Direct the Clerk of the Board to return one (1) fully executed copy of the attached memorandum of understanding with LMT & Associates, Inc., to the Department of Health and Human Services - Contract Unit for further processing.

DISCUSSION:
Since 2014, LMT & Associates, Inc. has worked with the county to implement new service regulations to ensure Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) Children's Mental Health is in compliance with all new state and federal regulations and is providing appropriate services in a manner that benefits clients. The consultation services provided pursuant to the terms and conditions of the 2021-2022 Agreement included, without limitation, all of the following:

1. Provision of assistance and support regarding the promotion of Transition Age Youth and Humboldt County Transition-Age Youth Collaboration program activities that are designed to help youth build skills in the areas of policy change and youth advocacy.

2. Provision of assistance and support regarding implementation of local, state and federal programs, mandates or legislation, including, without limitation, the Family First Prevention Services Act, Family Urgent Response System, Assembly Bill 2083 and other similar mandated system changes.
