RECOMMENDATION(S):
Recommendation
That the Board of Supervisors:
1. Approve, and authorize the Public Works Director to execute, the attached consultant services agreement with Stantec Consulting Services, Inc. regarding the provision of professional consulting services to assist with preparation of the water management plan for utilization of Humboldt County Contract Water from the Trinity River Division of the Central Valley Project;
2. Authorize the Public Works Director to execute any and all future amendments to the attached consultant services agreement with Stantec Consulting Services, Inc. that do not cumulatively exceed $50,000, after review and approval by County Counsel, Risk Management and the County Administrative Office; and
3. Approve the attached supplemental budget in Fund 1100, Budget Unit 251, Water Management (4/5 vote required).

DISCUSSION:
On Aug. 10, 2021 (Item D-30), the Board of Supervisors adopted Resolution No. 21-81 authorizing Public Works to apply for and accept grant funding from the Wildlife Conservation Board for the development of a water management plan regarding utilization of Humboldt County Contract Water from the Trinity River Division of the Central Valley Project ("Project").
