RECOMMENDATION(S):
Recommendation
That the Board of Supervisors:
1. Ratify the execution of various agreements by the Department of Health and Human Services Director and designees thereof in response to COVID-19;
2. Authorize the Department of Health and Human Services Director, or a designee thereof, to execute all future amendments to these agreements in response to COVID-19 upon review and approval of County Counsel, Risk Management and the County Administrative Office; and
3. Direct the Clerk of the Board to return a certified copy of the Board order to the Department of Health and Human Services - Contract Unit.

DISCUSSION:
On March 11, 2020, the Humboldt County Health Officer declared a Local Health Emergency in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Thereafter, on March 26, 2020 (Item D-1), the Board of Supervisors resolved to authorize Department heads, or designees thereof, to execute agreements related to a declared emergency with the requirement that such agreements must be ratified by the Board of Supervisors at the next available Board meeting. In response to this resolution, the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) has developed and executed several agreements with local partners. DHHS continues to work with local partners to further strengthen the county's response to the COVID-19 pandemic and additional agreements are currently in development.

Accordingly, DHHS recommends that the Board ratify the execution of the following agreements and associated amendments by the DHHS Director and designees thereof:
