RECOMMENDATION(S):
Recommendation
That the Board of Supervisors:
1. Approve, and ratify the Department of Health and Human Services Director's execution of, the attached grant agreement with the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development regarding acceptance of fiscal year 2019 planning grant funding made available through the Continuum of Care Program; and
2. Approve, and authorize the Department of Health and Human Services Director, or a designee thereof, to execute any and all subsequent amendments to the attached grant agreement with the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development, and any other agreements and/or documents required, or deemed necessary, to accept and secure fiscal year 2019 planning grant funding made available through the Continuum of Care Program, after review and approval by County Counsel, Risk Management and the County Administrative Office.

DISCUSSION:
The Humboldt County Department of Health and Human Services ("DHHS") has applied for, and has been selected to receive, fiscal year 2019 planning grant funding made available through the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development's ("HUD") Continuum of Care Program in the amount of Twenty-Five Thousand Eighty-Nine Dollars ($25,089.00). Once received, DHHS will use such funding to cover certain costs and expenses associated with the operation of the Humboldt County Continuum of Care, the Humboldt Housing and Homeless Coalition, including, without limitation, costs related to applying for additional funding, coordinating and implementing housing and service systems, planning for and cond...
