RECOMMENDATION(S):
Recommendation
That the Board of Supervisors:
1. Approve exercising the second option to extend the lease with Littlefield, Littlefield, and Powell for storage space at 205 Seventh Street, Suite C, Eureka, through August 31, 2020;
2. Authorize Public Works-Real Property Division to send a notice to the Lessor that the county is exercising the second option to extend the lease; and
3. Direct the Clerk of the Board to return one (1) executed Board Agenda Item to Public Works-Real Property Division.

DISCUSSION:
On August 23, 2011, the Board approved the lease between Richard Littlefield, Betty Littlefield, and Charles Powell for storage space at 205 Seventh Street, Suite C, Eureka. The lease term commenced the first day of the month following the Board's approval with a term date of August 31, 2014. The lease provided one (1), two (2)-year option to extend the lease under the same terms and conditions. On June 24, 2014, the Board approved the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) request to exercise the option to extend the lease through August 31, 2016. On June 19, 2016, the Board approved the first amendment to the lease with Littlefield, Littlefield and Powell for storage space at 205 Seventh St, Suite C, Eureka, for the time period of September 1, 2016, through August 31, 2018. On May 22, 2018, the Board approved the first option to extend the lease with Littlefield, Littlefield, and Powell for storage space at 205 Seventh Street, Suite C, Eureka for the time period of September 1, 2018, through August 31, 2019.
