RECOMMENDATION(S):
Recommendation
That the Board of Supervisors:
1. Approve, and authorize the Chair of the Board to execute, the attached first amendment to the professional services agreement between the Department of Health and Human Services - Child Welfare Services and Kevin Kelly, PhD regarding the performance of court-ordered competency and psychological evaluations for youth and adult clients for the period of Jan. 1, 2018 through June 30, 2019;
2. Authorize the Department of Health and Human Services Director, or a designee thereof, to execute any and all future amendments to the professional services agreement with Kevin Kelly, PhD, after review and approval by County Counsel, Risk Management and the County Administrative Office; and
3. Direct the Clerk of the Board to return two fully executed original copies of the attached first amendment to the professional services agreement with Kevin Kelly, PhD to the Department of Health and Human Services - Contract Unit for further processing.

DISCUSSION:
On April 24, 2018 (Item C-12), the Humboldt County Board of Supervisors approved the current professional services agreement between the Department of Health and Human Services - Child Welfare Services (DHHS - CWS) and Kevin Kelly, PhD regarding the performance of court-ordered competency and psychological evaluations for youth and adult clients.
