DISCUSSION:

Resolution 20-27 passed by the Board of Supervisors on April 14, 2020 allows for 5% ERP premium pay for county employees providing essential services that require them to leave their home to interact with members of the public and generally work in spaces that put them at higher risk of acquiring the Covid-19 virus.  Those employees are identified as employees deployed to field operations that interact with members of the public, custodial operations, or transportation related to the emergency.  The Board is being asked to consider modifying Resolution 20-27 to include the 5% ERP premium pay for county employees that physically come in to work and the physical hours spent at work as these employees are just as much at risk as others working directly with members of the public.
