The Humboldt County Courthouse 4th Street entrances will be closed Monday, August 7, 2023,  
and are scheduled to reopen to normal business hours on Monday, September 11, 2023. The 5th  
Street entrance to the courthouse will remain open. Accessible parking is available on the 5th  
Street side of the Courthouse.  
If you are unable to access the courthouse due to the closure of the 4th Street entrances  
remote/teleconferencing, live viewing of meetings is available on Access Humboldt as well as

That the Board of Supervisors:  
1. Find that the proposed vacation is exempt from California Environmental  
Quality Act (CEQA) Guidelines pursuant to California Code of Regulations,  
Title 14, Division 6, Chapter 3, Section 15305 - "Minor Alterations in Land  
Use Limitations";  
2. Adopt the attached resolution to summarily vacate a portion of a public  
utility easement adjacent to Kristen Way in McKinleyville pursuant to  
California Streets and Highways Code Section 8333(c) (Attachment 1);  
3. Direct the Clerk of the Board to record, via the Land Use Division of the  
Department of Public Works, a fully executed certified copy of the resolution  
in the Office of the Humboldt County Recorder; and  
4. Direct Public Works staff to file a Notice of Exemption finding that the  
project is categorically exempt from environmental review pursuant California  
Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) Guidelines set forth in California Code of  
Regulations, Title 14, Division 6, Chapter 3, Section 15305 - "Minor

(6D100) Post Miles 1.10, 1.20, 1.64, and 2.03 to 2.19 and Fort Seward Road  
(C7C010) Post Mile 5.45; and  
2. Approve the final claims for payment, to be submitted by the Public Works  
Department to the Auditor-Controller, in the amounts of $186.90 for Dyerville  
Loop Road (6D100) Post Mile 1.10, $589 for Dyerville Loop Road (6D100)  
Post Mile 1.20, $100 for Dyerville Loop Road (6D100) Post Mile 1.64, $75
