Recommendation
That the Board of Supervisors:
1. Approve and adopt the attached updates to the Humboldt County Audit Committee Charter; and
2. Provide other direction as necessary.

DISCUSSION:
On March 16, 2021, your Board created the Humboldt County Audit Committee and adopted a proposed Charter to govern the activities and membership of this group. The Auditor-Controller, County Administrative Officer and Audit Committee members have made edits to the Charter to improve the functionality of the group and to provide clarity around roles and responsibilities. The proposed redline modifications presented to your Board today were unanimously approved by the Audit Committee on January 25, 2024, and staff recommend your Board approve and adopt the suggested modifications contained in the attached redline update to the Humboldt County Audit Committee Charter.
FINANCIAL IMPACT:
Minimal staff time has been required to update this charter.
