DISCUSSION:
An At-Large vacancy has occurred on the Humboldt County Headwaters Fund Board due to the term expiration of Tammy Brown on March 8, 2024. A vacancy has been posted and applications are being accepted by the Clerk of the Board's Office. The term for this At-Large vacancy will be two years.

The Board of Supervisors has a Headwaters Fund Board Subcommittee of which Supervisor Wilson and Supervisor Bohn are members. This subcommittee typically meets to review and conduct interviews of applications received. After this process is complete, an agenda item will be brought forth with a recommendation. This process does not fall under the revised protocol for Board of Supervisors Appointments that was amended on January 30, 2024. Therefore, a timeline for the appointment has not been included.

Applications are available at the Clerk of the Boards office or can be requested at COB@co.humboldt.ca.us.

All appointed members of the Humboldt County Headwaters Fund Board will be required to comply with the California Fair Political Act Form 700 requirement as well as completing the Ethics 1234 training every two years.

FINANCIAL IMPACT:
There is no financial impact to posting the vacancy.
