RECOMMENDATION(S):
Recommendation
That the Board of Supervisors:
1. Authorize the Director of Library Services to execute the agreement by and between County of Humboldt and College of the Redwoods, at the Arcata Branch Library for free American Sign Language instruction; and
2. Direct the Clerk of the Board to return three executed copies of the grant agreement to the Humboldt County Library.

DISCUSSION:
Humboldt County Library and the College of the Redwoods Adult and Community Education are partnering to provide free American Sign Language instruction in the Arcata Library's conference room. There is no charge to the College of the Redwoods for use of the rooms associated with the aforementioned class.
This class supports the library's mission statement, "we strengthen our community by educating inspiring, and connecting people."

* Learning - Promote learning, literacy, and innovation
