RECOMMENDATION(S):
Recommendation
That the Board of Supervisors:
1. Authorize the Humboldt County Public Works Director to exercise the second option to extend the term of the lease agreement with David G. Katz and Anne Braak-Katz regarding the use of office space located at 3156 Redwood Drive, Redway, California to March 15, 2024; and
2. Direct the Clerk of the Board to provide the Humboldt County Public Works - Real Property staff with a fully executed certified copy of the Board Order relating to this item.

DISCUSSION:
On April 2, 2019, the Humboldt County Board of Supervisors ("Board") approved the current lease agreement with David G. Katz and Anne Braak-Katz regarding the use of office space located at 3156 Redwood Drive, Redway, California. The Board subsequently approved the first of two (2) options to extend the term of the lease agreement with David G. Katz and Anne Braak-Katz to March 15, 2023 on February 8, 2022.
Execution and delivery of the attached second option letter will extend the term of the lease agreement with David G. Katz and Anne Braak-Katz to March 15, 2024. Mr. Katz has waived the required ninety (90) day notice period regarding the second option to extend the current lease agreement regarding the use of office space located at 3156 Redwood Drive, Redway, California.
Accordingly, staff recommends that the Board authorize the Humboldt County Public Works Director to exercise the second option to extend the lease agreement with David G. Katz and Anne Braak-Katz regarding the use of office space located at 3156 Redwood Drive, Redway, California.
