RECOMMENDATION(S):
Recommendation
That the Board of Supervisors:
1. Approve, and authorize the Chair of the Board to execute, the attached agreement with the Yurok Tribe regarding the administration, management and operation of the Willow Creek, Hoopa Valley, and Orleans Bus Transit System for the period of Aug. 10, 2022 through June 30, 2024; and
2. Direct the Clerk of the Board to return one (1) fully executed copy of the attached agreement to the Department of Public Works for further processing

DISCUSSION:
The attached transportation services agreement with the Yurok Tribe is to replace services previously provided by and Klamath-Trinity Non-Emergency Transportation. The attached agreement will allow for the provision of transportation services in the Willow Creek, Hoopa Valley and Orleans areas of Humboldt County for the period of Aug. 10, 2022, through June 30, 2024. As part of the above-referenced agreement, the Yurok Tribe will be operating buses on a regular schedule from Monday through Friday with morning and evening routes. It should be noted that the attached transportation services agreements with the Yurok Tribe comes to your Board after the start date due to inadvertent delays that occurred during the contract development process. This delayed the start of the contract from July, 2022 Aug. 10, 2022.
FINANCIAL IMPACT:
