RECOMMENDATION(S):

Recommendation

That the Board of Supervisors:

1.                     Appoint Zachary O’Hanen to the position of Human Resources Director effective Aug. 21, 2022.

DISCUSSION:

Zachary O’Hanen has been serving as the Interim Human Resources Director since March 6, 2022.  In that time, Mr. O’Hanen has made great strides in stabilizing the Human Resources team and has effectively navigated many challenging personnel matters. At this time, staff recommends appointing Zachary O’Hanen to the position of Human Resources Director.

 

FINANCIAL IMPACT:

The fully burdened salary for the Human Resources Director is currently budgeted in the Risk Management budget (3520-359) for fiscal year 2022-23.  The current salary for the Human Resources Director at Step 1A is $151,570, not including benefits.

This action supports your Board’s Strategic Framework by investing in county employees .

ALTERNATIVES TO STAFF RECOMMENDATIONS:
