Recommendation
That the Board of Supervisors:
1. Authorize the Chair to sign the Humboldt County Fair Proclamation.

DISCUSSION:
The Humboldt County Board of Supervisors wishes to recognize the 126th anniversary of the Humboldt County Fair and encourages all Humboldt County residents to partake in this long-standing tradition by attending the fair Aug. 18th through Aug. 28, 2022.
FINANCIAL IMPACT:
The Humboldt County Fair Association operates the fairground and conducts the annual fair on behalf of the county. The fair is the major event that generates the most revenue for the Fair Association. Revenue is also generated for local businesses who participate and for the tourist industries of hotels and restaurants throughout the county.
