DISCUSSION:
Supervisor Madrone is announcing the appointment of Erin Kelly to the Humboldt County Forestry Review Committee representing the fifth district. Ms. Kelly will be starting a new 4-year term with an expiration date of June 30, 2026.
FINANCIAL IMPACT:
There is no financial impact to appoint a member to a committee. However, the Forestry Review Committee, established by ordinance in 1952, considers technical forest-related matters of concern to Humboldt County and, when appropriate, informs and makes recommendations regarding such matters to the Board of Supervisors and the Planning Commission. Such matters include application-related matters referred to the committee by the Planning Division, including referrals of joint timber management plans and applications of Timber Production Zone zoning or rezoning. The committee is staffed by the Planning and Building Department.
