DISCUSSION:
The Human Rights Commission was concerned that its members did not know how the public felt about their human rights in Humboldt County. To that end, the Human Rights Commission collaborated with several applicants and chose Ellen Murphy from Cal Poly Humboldt as a partner to work on developing an internship program and survey. Results of the survey are being shared with the Board of Supervisors in the hope that these statistics and takeaways might drive discussions and policy recommendations from the Human Rights Commission to the Board of Supervisors.
