DISCUSSION:

The Humboldt County Fire Council (HCFSC) is seeking to update its membership following the transition of several individuals into and out of member organizations. Per the Board of Supervisors updated Protocol for Board of Supervisors Appointments dated March 23, 2021, the Fire Safe Council is listed on Exhibit 1 of Attachment B so therefore is excluded from the At Large appointment protocol.

The Hoopa Valley Tribe Office of Emergency Services, as Tribal Representative on the HCFSC, has identified Serene White, newly hired OES Coordinator and former HCFSC member, to fill the previously vacant, alternate position for Chief Greg Moon.

The Willow Creek Fire Safe Council has nominated Basho Parks as their representative with WCFSC Treasurer Blaze Shannon as his alternate, following the resignation of John Evans from the WCFSC.

And finally, the Six Rivers National Forest has nominated Benjamin Hendricks as the non-voting federal liaison with Brittany Patterson as his alternate. This follows the retirement of David Soldavini who had previously been identified as the primary member.
