DISCUSSION:
An effort is underway to designate a portion of State Highway 101 from Kenmar Road UC# 4-128(PM 59.503) to Palmer Blvd UC# 4-112(PM 62.229, as the Fortuna Police Officer Raymond Quincy Mills Memorial Highway in memory of Officer Mills who was tragically killed while on duty in an accident where he was struck by a motorist while providing backup during a traffic stop. Officer Mills was a member of the Fortuna Police Department and is remembered for his professionalism, hard work, and dedication to his community. The Board of Supervisors is sending a letter of support for this effort.
