That the Board of Supervisors:
1. Approve the Human Rights Commission Human Trafficking funding recommendation.

DISCUSSION:
On May 6, 2021, the Human Rights Commission passed a motion to adopt the following language, “The Humboldt County Human Right Commission approves the recommendation of the Human Trafficking Committee, to grant $3,116 to Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Santa Rosa, to provide immigration legal services for two Humboldt County undocumented victims of
human trafficking and their families.”
The Commission recommends your Board approve the dispersal of these funds through the Humboldt Area Foundation, in the amount of $3,116, for use as described in the above statement.
FINANCIAL IMPACT:
Funds in the amount $3,116 will be dispersed from the Human Trafficking Fund held with the Humboldt Area Foundation. There is no impact to the county General Fund.
