RECOMMENDATION(S):
Recommendation
That the Board of Supervisors:
1. Adopt the Resolution Amending Resolution No. 20-85 of the current Conflict of Interest Code for the County of Humboldt.

No funding is necessary beyond already funded staff time.
DISCUSSION:
The Political Reform Act requires that the County’s Conflict of Interest Code be kept up-to-date. On September 29, 2020, the Board adopted the most recent Conflict of Interest Code for the County of Humboldt via Resolution 20-85. Additional revisions need to be made to Appendix B of the Resolution regarding certain positions in the County Administrative Office, Planning & Building Department, Public Defender, and the Audit Committee. The positions that have been deleted are stricken and any additions have been underlined in the proposed Resolution.

ALTERNATIVES TO STAFF RECOMMENDATIONS:
The Board could choose not to adopt this resolution. This alternative is not recommended because it would leave the County with an inaccurate Conflict of Interest Code.
