RECOMMENDATION(S):
Recommendation
That the Board of Supervisors:
1. Receive and file the bid proposals submitted for the Mattole Road (F3C010) Post Miles 36.06 and 36.16 Storm Damage Repair Project;
2. Award the attached project agreement to Wahlund Construction, Inc. for the total amount of One Million Five Hundred Fifty-Nine Thousand Six Hundred Thirteen Dollars and Forty-Six Cents ($1,559,613.46); and
3. Authorize the Chair of the Board to execute the attached project agreement with Wahlund Construction, Inc. upon submittal of the appropriate bonds and insurance.

DISCUSSION:
On Mar. 23, 2021, the Humboldt County Board of Supervisors authorized the Clerk of the Board to advertise the Mattole Road (F3C010) Post Miles 36.06 and 36.16 Storm Damage Repair Project for bids. On Apr. 27, 2021, the County of Humboldt received four (4) bids for the project, which are attached hereto as Attachment 1.
The Department of Public Works recommends that the Board of Supervisors receive and file the bid proposals submitted for the Mattole Road (F3C010) Post Miles 36.06 and 36.16 Storm Damage Repair Project. It is also recommended that the attached project agreement be awarded to Wahlund Construction, Inc. for the total amount of One Million Five Hundred Fifty-Nine Thousand Six Hundred Thirteen Dollars and Forty-Six Cents ($1,559,613.46) and that the Chair of the Board be authorized to execute the attached project agreement with Wahlund Construction, Inc. upon submittal of the appropriate bonds and insurance.
