RECOMMENDATION(S):
Recommendation
That the Board of Supervisors:
1. Receive and file the proposals in response to Request for Proposals No. DHHS2020-01 for the provision of Sub-Acute Transitional Mental Health, Specialty Mental Health and/or Social Rehabilitation Services;
2. Approve the selection of Willow Glen Care Center as the mental health treatment facility to provide sub-acute transitional mental health, specialty mental health and social rehabilitation services to eligible Humboldt County residents; and
3. Authorize the Department of Health and Human Services - Behavioral Health Director, or a designee thereof, to execute a professional services agreement with Willow Glen Care Center regarding the provision of sub-acute transitional mental health, specialty mental health and social rehabilitation services to eligible Humboldt County residents that is substantially similar to the attached sample professional services agreement, and any subsequent amendments thereto, after review and approval by County Counsel, Risk Management and the County Administrative Office.

DISCUSSION:
On Jan. 3, 2020, the Humboldt County Department of Health and Human Services - Behavioral Health (DHHS - Behavioral Health) issued Request for Proposal (RFP) No. DHHS2020-01which solicited proposals from qualified mental health treatment facilities to provide sub-acute transitional mental health, specialty mental health and/or social rehabilitation services to eligible Humboldt County residents.
