DISCUSSION:
Multi-year flat budgets and budget cuts for the University of California Division of Agriculture and Natural Resources has directly impacted the programming and technical expertise available to Humboldt County for over ten years. The Board of Supervisors is sending a letter to Governor Newsom and state legislators expressing support for a permanent budgetary augmentation to the UC ANR budget to rebuild the Cooperative Extension footprint and permanently bolster communities throughout the state including Humboldt County.
