RECOMMENDATION(S):
Recommendation
That the Board of Supervisors:
1. Receive and file the bid proposals submitted for the Alderpoint Road Post Mile 44.79 Storm Damage Repair Project;
2. Award the attached project agreement to Steelhead Constructors JV for the total amount of One Million Four Hundred Fifty-Three Thousand Three Hundred Fifty-Two Dollars ($1,453,352.00); and
3. Authorize the Chair of the Board to execute the attached project agreement with Steelhead Constructors JV upon submittal of the appropriate bonds and insurance.

DISCUSSION:
On January 12, 2021, the Humboldt County Board of Supervisors authorized the Clerk of the Board to advertise the Alderpoint Road Post Mile 44.79 Storm Damage Repair Project for bids. On February 9, 2021, the County of Humboldt received five (5) bids for the project, which are attached hereto as Attachment 1.
The Department of Public Works recommends that the Board of Supervisors receive and file the bid proposals submitted for the Alderpoint Road Post Mile 44.79 Storm Damage Repair Project. It is also recommended that the attached project agreement be awarded to Steelhead Constructors JV, for the total amount of One Million Four Hundred Fifty-Three Thousand Three Hundred Fifty-Two Dollars ($1,453,352.00), and that the Chair of the Board be authorized to execute the attached project agreement with Steelhead Constructors JV upon submittal of the appropriate bonds and insurance.
FINANCIAL IMPACT:
The Alderpoint Road Post Mile 44.79 Storm Damage Repair Project is being funded by Federal Highway Administration Emergency Relief Funds (88.53%) and the Humboldt County Road Fund (11.47%). The contract bid amount is One Million Four Hund...
