The fiscal year (FY) 2020-21 budget for Economic Development (budget unit 1120-275) was approved with personnel allocations which included the allocation of an AFSCME Economic Development Specialist to aid in the support and administration of the county's Project Trellis and Local Equity (LEP) Program(s).

In addition, the M&C classification meets state expectations of providing leadership over the county's management of state equity funding and the M&C position was recommended by the state.

Accordingly, staff recommend this position be reallocated as a Management & Confidential Economic Development Specialist (Class 0634, Range 458) in Economic Development budget unit 1100-275 effective immediately.

FINANCIAL IMPACT:
The salary difference for Step C between Class 640, Range 440 and Class 643, Range 458 is $2.95 per hour, with an overall increase...
