RECOMMENDATION(S):
Recommendation
That the Board of Supervisors:
1. Adopt the attached resolution which authorizes the Humboldt County Department of Public Works Director, or a designee thereof, to execute any and all documents, including, without limitation, agreements, amendments, certifications and payment requests, necessary to accept and secure grant funding made available through the California Department of Transportation's Sustainable Transportation Planning Grant Program in order to complete the McKinleyville Multimodal Connections Project; and
2. Direct the Clerk of the Board to provide one (1) fully executed original copy of the attached resolution to the Humboldt County Department of Public Works for submission to the California Department of Transportation.

DISCUSSION:
The County of Humboldt is eligible to receive federal and/or state funding for transportation planning through the California Department of Transportation's Sustainable Transportation Planning Grant Program. On October 2, 2019, the Humboldt County Department of Public Works, in conjunction with the McKinleyville Municipal Advisory Committee and Redwood Community Action Agency, applied for Sustainable Transportation Planning Grant funding in order to develop a non-motorized access plan for the southern portion of McKinleyville as part of the McKinleyville Multimodal Connections Project.
