DISCUSSION:
The Clerk of the Boards office has posted a vacancy for the Assessment Appeals Board. There are currently two vacancies for the Alternate positions. This is a very active Board and membership is crucial to the Assessment Appeals process. The person filling this vacancy should have experience in the appraisal or real estate business.
Unless the Clerk of the Board is notified, not more than three days prior nor more than seven day subsequent to the date of this meeting, of a desire to calendar this matter for further discussion, any Board member may bring forward an item to reappoint this member or appoint nay qualified person to fill either vacancy. Under the terms of the Maddy Act, the soonest date on which an appointment may be made is April 7, 2020.
