RECOMMENDATION(S):
Recommendation
That the Board of Supervisors:
1. Approve the selection of GHD, Inc. as the consulting firm to provide on-call professional design engineering, environmental and/or construction management services;
2. Approve, and authorize the Chair of the Board to execute, the attached consultant services agreement with GHD, Inc. regarding the provision of on-call professional design engineering, environmental and/or construction management services;
3. Authorize the Public Works Director to execute any and all future task orders issued pursuant to the terms and conditions of the attached consultant services agreement with GHD, Inc.; and
4. Direct the Clerk of the Board to return two (2) fully executed original copies of the attached consultant services agreement with GHD, Inc. to the Department of Public Works for further processing.

DISCUSSION:
On Oct. 22, 2019, the Humboldt County Department of Public Works issued a Request for Qualifications ("RFQ") for the purpose of selecting a qualified consultant to provide professional design engineering, environmental and/or construction management services for road construction projects on an on-call basis. The RFQ followed the selection process set forth in Chapter 10 of the California Department of Transportation's Local Assistance Procedures Manual.
