1. Authorize the Chair to sign the letters of support.

DISCUSSION:
The Humboldt County Board of Supervisors would like to send letters of support for both AB54 and SB1080 - Solid Waste - Packaging and Products. This very important legislations would enact a statewide approach to decrease reliance on landfills and reduce waste associated with single use packaging and product by up to 75% by 2030. This would be a state and local benefit for environmental goals. These Bills have gained support by many including the California Association of Counties (CSAC) and Rural County Representatives of California (RCRC).
