DISCUSSION:
Human trafficking is a form of modern-day slavery and is a crime against humanity and violates the most basic human rights. Soroptimist International of Humboldt Bay are working to bring awareness to this issue and to look for root causes and to find strategic methods of prevention. Therefore, the Board of Supervisors would like to proclaim January 2020 as Sex Trafficking Awareness Month in Humboldt County.
