That the Board of Supervisors:
1. Appoint Lane Russ to the Humboldt County Resource Conservation District.

DISCUSSION:
On Nov. 14, 2019, the Clerk of the Board’s office received notification that Peter Bussman had resigned from the HCRCD Board. In compliance with the Maddy Act, the vacancy was posted and per the Board’s Protocol for the Board of Supervisors appointments, the Board was notified of the vacancy on the Dec. 10, 2019 meeting.
The Board of Supervisor’s office received a letter dated Nov. 18, 2019 from the HCRCD Board recommending the appointment of Lane Russ to fill the vacancy. Mr. Russ’s application and resume are attached.
Supervisor Rex Bohn is now recommending that Mr. Lane Russ be appointed to fill this vacancy with the remainder of the term ending on Nov. 14, 2020.
