DISCUSSION:
On March 7, 2017, the Governor of the State of California declared a disaster for Humboldt County due to severe winter storms, flooding and mudslides. Murray Road Post Mile 5.57, in the Fieldbrook area of Humboldt County, experienced a sink hole failure which closed one (1) lane of the southbound roadway.

On September 19, 2019, the Humboldt County Department of Public Works ("Public Works") received FHWA funding approval to proceed with the Murray Road Post Mile 5.57 Storm Damage Repair Project. Accordingly, Public Works recommends that the Board of Supervisors approve the attached plans and specifications and advertise the Murray Road Post Mile 5.57 Storm Damage Repair Project.
