RECOMMENDATION(S):
Recommendation
That the Board of Supervisors:
1. Authorize the Chair to sign Resolution No. ______, the Governing Body Resolution (Attachment 1) for the Emergency Management Performance Grant (EMPG) and direct the Clerk of the Board to certify;
2. Authorize the Chair to sign Resolution No. ______, the Governing Body Resolution (Attachment 2) for the Homeland Security Grant Program (HSGP) and direct the Clerk of the Board to certify;
3. Authorize the Sheriff, Undersheriff, and Deputy Director of Sheriff's Administration to execute for and on behalf of the named applicant, a public entity established under the laws of the State of California, any actions necessary for the purpose of obtaining EMPG or HSGP funding provided by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security and sub-granted through the State of California;
4. Direct the Clerk of the Board to return two (2) signed and certified copies, one for each of the above-named resolutions, to the Sheriff's Office of Emergency Services, Attn: Ryan Derby, for immediate submission to the California Governor's Office of Emergency Services; and
5. Approve the supplemental budget request for budget unit 1100-221830 HSGP-3 (Attachment 3). (4/5 vote required)
