Recommendation
That the Board of Supervisors:
1. Approve the donation of two (2) Ford F-150 pick-up trucks to County Motor Pool for capitalization, maintenance and insurance purposes.

DISCUSSION:
The County Planning & Building Department requested the purchase of two new pick-up trucks. Purchase of these vehicles was included in the fiscal year (FY) 2019-20 budget for Cannabis Planning, budget unit 1100-268. For the purposes of capitalization, maintenance and insurance, Planning & Building would like to donate the two (2) Ford F-150 pick-up trucks to County Motor Pool.
FINANCIAL IMPACT:
Expenditure appropriation for these vehicles and County Motor Pool costs were included in the approved FY 2019-20 budget for the Planning & Building department, budget unit 1100-268.

ALTERNATIVES TO STAFF RECOMMENDATIONS:
The Board may choose to not approve this donation. However, the Planning & Building department does not recommend this alternative because it would require the department to provide maintenance and insurance that can be more efficiently and economically provided by County Motor Pool and Risk Management.
