That the Board of Supervisors:
1. Appoint Sylvia DeRooy to the Housing Authority as the At-large Senior Tenant Commissioner.

DISCUSSION:
On February 6, 2018 the Board of Supervisors were notified that there was a vacancy for the At-Large Senior Tenant on the Housing Authority Commission. The vacancy was posted, and application were accepted.
The Board of Supervisors received a letter dated August 9, 2019 from the Housing Authority recommending the appointment of Sylvia DeRooy to fill this At-large Vacancy. Sylvia is an active member of the community and would be an asset to the Commission.

ALTERNATIVES TO STAFF RECOMMENDATIONS:
The Board could choose not to appoint Ms. DeRooy and leave the seat vacant. This is not recommended though because the seat has been vacancy for several months.
