Recommendation
That the Board of Supervisors:
1. Authorize the Chair to sign the letter of support; and
2. Direct the Clerk of the Board to forward a fully executed copy to Alison Robbins, Program Director, Blue Lake Rancheria Tribe of California, P.O. Box 428, Blue Lake, CA 95525.

The Blue Lake Rancheria is applying to the US Department of Education for a STEP Development Grant to promote Tribal self-determination in education and to improve academic achievement of Indian children and youth. The Board of Supervisors is sending a letter of support for this extremely important funding request.
