DISCUSSION:
Per Board Appointments Protocol adopted by the Board of Supervisors on April 19, 2011, the Clerk of the Board is notifying the Board of two (2) at-large vacancies on the Humboldt County Aviation Advisory Commission. Both Richard Fenton and Kyle Gabel expired on June 30. The vacancy has been posted pursuant to California Government Code Section 54974 and applications are being accepted. Both Mr. Fenton and Mr. Gabel are able to reapply if desired.
Unless the Clerk of the Board is notified, not more than three days prior nor more than seven days subsequent to the date of this meeting, of a desire to calendar this matter for further discussion, any Board member may bring forward an item to reappoint these members or appoint any qualified person to fill these vacancies. Under the terms of the Maddy Act, the soonest date on which an appointment may be made is July 9, 2019
