RECOMMENDATION(S):
Recommendation
That the Board of Supervisors:
1. Approve, and authorize the Chair of the Board to execute, the attached professional services agreement with Area 1 Agency on Aging regarding the development, implementation and administration of an area plan relating to support services and activities provided to elderly citizens of Humboldt County in an amount not to exceed $84,106.00; and
2. Direct the Clerk of the Board to route the fully executed agreement to the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) - Contract Unit for further processing.

DISCUSSION:
On May 31, 2016 (Item C-11), the Board approved a professional services agreement with Area 1 Agency on Aging (A1AA) regarding the development, implementation and administration of an area plan relating to support services and activities provided to elderly citizens of Humboldt County. On March 6, 2018 (item C-8) and June 26, 2018 (item C-14) the Board approved the renewal of the professional services agreement with A1AA to continue providing these services through fiscal years 2017-18 and 2018-19. Approval of the attached professional services agreement will allow A1AA to continue to develop, implement and administer services and activities provided pursuant to the Older Americans Act. Pursuant to the terms and conditions of the attached professional services agreement, A1AA will provide contract monitoring for congregate and home-delivered meal and legal assistance programs, collect data from relevant service providers and report to the California Department of Aging and monitor, evaluate and comment on policies, programs and ...
