That the Board of Supervisors:
1. Appoint Tim Tietz to the Garberville Fire Protection District Board of Directors.

DISCUSSION:
Currently, there are two open seats on the Garberville Fire Protection District Board of Directors. Because these seats remain open and unfilled, the Fire Protection Board is unable to meet for lack of a quorum. Election code allows for the Board of Supervisors to make an appointment to fill one of the two vacancies until the next election cycle, and as Mr. Tietz meets the requirements to be appointed, it is being recommended he be appointed to fill one of the vacancies until the next full election cycle.
