DISCUSSION:
The California Coastal Commission is in the process of conducting a federal consistency determination for a project for which the Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA) is the applicant on behalf of the Trinidad Rancheria. The Rancheria has requested that the matter be heard at the June 2019 Coastal Commission meeting in San Diego. However, the Board of Supervisors is requesting the meeting be postponed to the August 2019 Coastal Commission meeting to be held in Eureka, to allow for full community input into the project.
