DISCUSSION:

At the recent State-of-the-State address, Governor Newsom expressed concerns that the current California High-Speed Rail Project, as currently planned, would cost way too much and take way too long to complete; noting that the project has had little oversight and not enough transparency.  The project has wasted billions of dollars with minimal progress.  The Board of Supervisors has been asked to join with other counties around the state in adopting a resolution calling on the state to abandon this flawed project.
