DISCUSSION:
The California Youth Connection (CYC) is a youth led organization that develops leaders who empower each other and their communities to transform the foster care system through legislative, policy and practice change. This year some of the members are speaking to various Board of Supervisors to share information on their “No Stigma, No Barriers” project. This project aims to reduce stigma of young people who need support for mental health and wellness. There has been some great work done in Humboldt County and a short presentation would share these successes and triumphs.
