1. Authorize the Chair to sign the letter of support.

DISCUSSION:
The Unites States Fish and Wildlife Service has authorized states to extend their duck season until January 31st of each year, as long as they do not exceed the maximum number of hunt days currently allowed. In California that is 107 days.
The Humboldt County Fish and Game Advisory Commission has reviewed and considered this information at their monthly meeting and are recommending that the Board of Supervisors send a letter of support to the State Fish and Wildlife Commission asking that Humboldt be granted the later end date. By doing so it would allow a better hunting season with simplified regulations.
