Recommendation
That the Board of Supervisors:
1. Appoint Ryan P. Rice to the Humboldt County Resource Conservation District Board to fill the remaining term of James Renner who resigned in February, 2019, and whose term expires November 2022.

DISCUSSION:
On March 4, 2019, the Clerk of the Board’s office received notification that James Renner had resigned from the HCRCD Board effective February, 2019. In compliance with the Maddy Act, the vacancy was posted on March 12, 2019 and per the Board’s Protocol for Board of Supervisors Appointments, the Board was notified of the vacancy on March 19, 2019.
Supervisor Rex Bohn is now recommending that Ryan P. Rice be appointed to fill the vacancy on the HCRCD Board through November 2022.
Please note: at the time of this writing, no other applications for this vacancy had been received by the Clerk of the Board’s office.
