RECOMMENDATION(S):
Recommendation
That the Board of Supervisors authorize the Chair to sign the letter appreciation to LCDR Dominic Bucciarelli for his service on the Airport Advisory Committee; appoint LT Jacob Dorsey to the Airport Advisory Committee as the new At-Large Member representing the United States Coast Guard on the Airport Advisory Committee; and authorize the Chair to sign the letter of appointment to LT Jacob Dorsey.

DISCUSSION:
The Humboldt County Airport Advisor Committee was formed by Resolution to provide input to the Board of Supervisors and the Department of Public Works, Division of Aviation, on the strategic focus (Master Plan) of the Humboldt County aviation system, to regularly monitor and report on the progress of the strategic focus, and to provide a forum for input on operations issues, opportunities and concerns. The Committee has nine members; one member appointed by each District Supervisor and four At-Large members. One At Large member is to be a representative from the United States Coast Guard.
LCDR Dominic Bucciarelli was appointed on August 18, 2015, reappointed on June 27, 2017 with a term expiring on June 30, 2018. LCDR Bucciarelli is being relocated at the end of month and is recommending that LT Jacob Dorsey fill the remainder of his term. The Board would like to thank LCDR Bucciarelli for his service on this committee and appoint LT Jacob Dorsey to represent the United States Coast Guard on this committee.
