RECOMMENDATION(S):

Recommendation

That the Board of Supervisors deallocate 1.0 vacant full-time equivalent (FTE) Senior Fiscal Assistant M&C (class 0123, salary range 369) in budget unit 111 Auditor-Controller; and allocate 1.0 FTE Senior Fiscal Assistant (class 0124, salary range 349) in budget unit 111 Auditor-Controller.

DISCUSSION:

On November 6, 2018, your Board approved the allocation of a Senior Fiscal Assistant in the Auditor-Controller Department as part of the reorganization of payroll functions and transfer of staff to Human Resources. The position allocated was a management and confidential (M&C) designated Senior Fiscal Assistant. Based on the duties the position will be performing this designation is not required. It is recommended that the vacant Senior Fiscal Assistant M&C (class 0123) position be deallocated and a Senior Fiscal Assistant (class 0124) be allocated.

 

FINANCIAL IMPACT:

The requested action has no financial impact the costs included in the November 6th agenda item were for a Senior Fiscal Assistant. This action supports your Board’s Strategic Framework by managing resources to ensure sustainability of resources.

None

 

ALTERNATIVES TO STAFF RECOMMENDATIONS:

Your Board could choose not to approve this request, however this alternative is not recommended.
